The FDNC face drivers from Logansport Matsumoto are designed for gear hobbing operations. According to the company’s press release, this driver enables hobbing in a single operation and eliminates the need for a chuck. This allows the entire workpiece to be exposed for machining and turning in one operation. In addition, hobs stay on one machine and tolerance stack-ups are eliminated. Available in flange-mount with Morse and straight-shank styles, the drivers also offer a quick change drive disk for faster job changeovers.
