SECO/WARWICK delivered a vacuum furnace with convection heating and a 10-bar gas quenching system to the Bodycote Heat Treatment Centre at Woodford, Chesire, U.K.
According to the companys press release, this furnace is capable of hardening, vacuum carburizing, annealing and tempering on a variety of loads. Processes and loads can be changed from process to process.
This equipment is designed for the needs of commercial heat treaters. Convention heating enables hardening and multi-stage tempering of the load in one furnace cycle.
Bodycotes Woodford plant was the first heat treatment plant in the U.K. that specifically serviced the aerospace industry. Last year, they were the first sub-contract heat treatment service in Europe to gain NADCAP approval.
