Saint-Gobain Gaskets Seal in Temperature Extremes
January 19, 2005
The OmniGasket from Saint-Gobain is constructed with a layer of PTFE adhered to an alloy base.According to the company's press release, the gasket will deliver long lasting seals even in extreme temperatures with various torque loads, provide universal chemical compatibility with self-lubricating PTFE and prevent metal-to-metal contact to eliminate marring and galling of surfaces.
The gasket is available with outer diameters up to 65 mm, in a variety of thicknesses, with a temperature rating of ?100 to +200?C and will withstand high pressure and shear strength.
The gasket is designed for gearboxes, freeze plugs and oil seals, engine oil pan seals, transmission box pan seals and noise reduction discs, along with other industrial and automotive applications.
