United Gear & Asssembly installed a new Kapp KX 300P grinder. The machine is designed for grinding external spur and helical gears. Size dimensions range from a face width up to 250 mm and outside diameter up to 300 mm. According to the company's press release, this enables customers with continuous generating grinding for high volume product and single index profile grinding for low volume and custom gears. This addition completes the vertical integration of in-house capabilities for UGA and expands the range of classifications up to AGMA Class 13.
