Midwest Motion Products released the MMP-TM55-12V GP52-035 gearmotor that accepts any 12-volt DC source, including battery power. Measurements are 2.14" in diameter, 7.2" in length and a keyed output shaft of 12 mm in diameter by 25 mm in length. Mounting is accomplished with four face mount$B!&(BM5 threaded holes equally spaced on a 40 mm diameter bolt circle. The output of the reversible gearmotor is rated for 4.3 N-m continuous torque at 130 rpm and 20 N-m peak. The gearmotor weighs just less than 3 lbs. To generate its full load torque, 7.2 amps at 12 volts DC are required. Motor windings for 24, 36 and 90 volts are available. The design is rated at IP 54 protection level for operation in harsh environments. The company’s speed control model MMP 25A-12V assists with variable speed.
