Kenneth D. Meidlinger has been named operations manager for Canton, OH-based Cage Gear & Machine, LLC. A Northeast Ohio native, Meidlinger is a veteran of the machine trades, and as a certified journeyman machinist, he brings a wealth of practical, hands-on experience to his new role. "My career has been built on a strong manufacturing platform on the peripheral edge of the gear industry,$B!&(Bsaid Meidlinger. "Cage Gear gives me the opportunity to enter into this field, using knowledge that I have acquired along the way, hopefully to enhance my professional skills and to assist Cage Gear as we grow the business." Meidlinger worked at National Machine of Stow, OH, and at H&H Machine Shop of Akron, Inc. His responsibilities at those companies included sales estimating and quoting; manufacturing and industrial engineering; manufacturing control and, most recently, purchasing and materials control. Meidlinger’s duties at Cage Gear will include support of the firm’s technical and manufacturing activities; daily assignments and activities of company staff, as well as providing the direction, tools and support needed for them to perform; and to assist with the front end of the business as circumstances dictate.
