Schunk Releases New Electrical Miniature High-Speed Parallel Gripper
February 14, 2007
Schunk Workholding's miniature high-speed parallel gripper (MHP) is the two-finger counterpart to the centric gripper SMG.
According to the company's press release, the new gripper with electro-mechanic drive achieves short cycle times and is also equipped with end-position dampening and integrated electronics for optimized control. A longer tool life is assured by maintenance of the end positions without power, which avoids an overload due to continuous power.
For fast applications, Schunk recommends the MHP. The angular position of the gripper head is unlimited and continuously adjustable to the individual gripping situations. Moreover, the roller bearing gripper jaws, with their thread holes, are offering various attachment possibilities for universal gripper fingers. For simple and universal adjustment in applications and installations, a connection extension is available as an additional accessory.
