The M&P Lab appointed Matthew J. Hallihan as business development manager and Edward Vesely as senior metallurgist to its Greenville, South Carolina facility. The M&P Lab tests and characterizes industrial materials, both metallic and non-metallic, serving manufacturing and process industries including energy, automotive and aerospace.

 

Hallihan previously held positions with Alcoa, Castings Technology Co. and Summit Polymers, Inc. His experience is in quality assurance and testing, metallurgy and polymeric materials. He received a bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering from Virginia Tech, and he is an ASQ certified mechanical inspector, quality technician and an ASM member.

 

Prior to joining The M&P Lab, Vesely was an industry consultant in Indianapolis, and he was technical lead for IIT Research Institute's Advanced Materials Processing and Technology Information Analysis Center. He received bachelor's and master's degrees from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and he has an M.B.A from Nova Southeastern University. Vesely is a Six Sigma Green Belt and a member of ASM, AWS, ASTM, SME, TMS and ASQ.
