Sandvik Coromant has joined the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT). The nonprofit organization, located in East Hartford is committed to providing workforce development and technology advancements in areas of manufacturing, education, training, energy and entrepreneurialism. Sandvik Coromant will collaborate with CCAT’s Advanced Manufacturing Center to provide technical support and expertise in solving difficult machining challenges facing local and regional manufacturers and help them become more globally competitive. "It is exciting to have Sandvik Coromant join CCAT in our efforts to expand the capabilities and offering of our Machining Applications Lab (MAL). Advanced machining solutions requires a total systems approach, including programming and tooling, to take full advantage of modern machine capabilities and Sandvik Coromant brings extensive international expertise to all these areas," said Elliot Ginsberg, president and CEO of CCAT.
