GWJ Adds Dimensioning Function in Cylindrical Gear Pair Module
November 12, 2013
GWJ Technology GmbH, headquartered in Braunschweig, Germany, recently added a new function to the web-based eAssistant software module for cylindrical gears. The eAssistant user can now use a powerful dimensioning function. GWJ recently added a powerful dimensioning function to the eAssistant software module for cylindrical gears. This functionality provides proposals for possible design variations based on entered power data, material data and a desired transmission ratio. A table provides all possible design variations. The variations can be sorted by module, centre distance or transmission ratio. The desired variation can be selected for further calculations with a simple mouse click. The dimensioning function is available for both - external and internal cylindrical gears. In case the user defines a helix angle, then helical gears are also possible. If the user works with a load spectrum, the load spectrum will be taken as the basis for the dimensioning. The new functionality is available to all registered eAssistant users.
