The Timken Company recently announced its power systems service facility in Princeton, WV, has earned ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification.
The regional service center, formerly owned by Smith Services, Inc., was acquired by Timken in 2013 and has earned certification for design, manufacturing and service of power transmission products and related equipment. The facility is part of the Timken Power Systems business group, which provides repairs, upgrades, field services and new equipment to critical industrial drivetrain equipment throughout North America.
“To help our customers operate more efficiently and control costs, we focus on providing reliable, quality services delivered on-time and on-budget,” said Carl Rapp, vice president of power systems for Timken. “Our commitment to achieving ISO certification is a message to our customers that audited processes are in place to provide them with world-class technical solutions.”
From motors, to gearboxes, to bearing repair solutions, Timken Power Systems provides a full suite of industrial repair, upgrade and service solutions. Timken Power Systems can now service everything from the switch gear – at the point at which power comes from a substation into the facility – through the prime mover (AC/DC electric motors), gearboxes, couplings and electric controls that drive the customer’s work element.
