The Metal Powder Industries Federation's (MPIF) Industry Development Board (IDB) has completed a redesign of the PickPM.com website. Technical data, application case studies, white papers, and additional resources work together to provide a detailed overview of why component engineers and designers should pick powder metallurgy (PM) over other metal-forming solutions.
The new website offers PM component designers and engineers extensive design specification information, educational tools including numerous application case studies covering eight PM market segments from automotive to recreational applications, and additional resources including white papers, standards, publications, educational videos, and a gallery of award-winning PM components.
The highlight of the PickPM website is a searchable directory of PM component fabricators. With a listing approaching 100 PM fabricators involved in processes from traditional press-and-sinter to metal additive manufacturing technologies, users can search by material, industry, process, types of part, or by keyword. All listed companies are also members of the MPIF.
"The PickPM website is a comprehensive resource for anyone who wants to learn more about powder metallurgy," stated executive director/CEO Jim Adams, MPIF. "The IDB has worked diligently to make this website a valuable tool to serve the entire PM industry."
