Oerlikon Drive Systems India not only believes in keeping the customers happy but also giving back to the society by various initiatives. The Company helps the society by contributing towards healthcare, education and skill development which will make the world a better place to live. There are various initiatives being taken up by the organisation to serve the society.
Drive Systems Noida took various initiatives like distribution of 300 blankets to under privileged people living on the streets at Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. It also laid down the foundation of the Silver Line Public School and DISHA Vocational training Center at Village Habibpur, where under privileged people can come and equip themselves with the knowledge of computers, electrical works & stitching. These diploma courses are approved by the government. Adding on, the Company has also initiated a self-sustainable center in the same village to create self-employment and reduce the number of affected women who are victims of exploitation and violence. Moreover it has renovated four cottage homes in Lajpat Nagar area New Delhi which are institutional accommodation for poor or orphaned children.
Drive Systems Sanand has installed a 5 KW solar panel at village Charal as a pilot project and has also initiated stone pitching and boundary work of the local pond which has been done in two phases. To empower women 10 garment industry standard electric machines have been installed so as to provide vocational training courses and placement support afterwards. Along with this the Company has initiated Khakra/Papad (local edibles) making center at Charal village, oriented towards the self-sustainability concept wherein the females can come up, learn and even earn their livelihood through this center.
Drive Systems Belgaum believes one of the best ways to uplift the society is by improving the education system. Computer knowledge being of utmost importance, the Company has enabled Maratha Vidya Mandir at Shinoli Budruk with a computer lab which helps almost 220 children get basic computer knowledge. Along with this it has been also constructed a library at Shinoli village which will help impart knowledge around 900 people in the nearby area. Vocational training for women being a common practice among all three plants, also provide nutritious food to Prathmik Ashram School and HIV/AIDS infected children of Saiyujam, Belgaum.
