MPIF Opens Registration for Basic PM Short Course

The powder metallurgy (PM) industry’s leading short course returns to State College, Pennsylvania, this August to bring together new PM employees and those seeking to enhance their depth of knowledge and advance their careers in the industry. Held at Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel, State College, Pennsylvania, this intensive three-day course will run from August 10-12, 2020.
This year’s programming will focus on:
•History, current practice, and the future of the PM industry;
•Why PM is a leading method for producing metal parts; •The many applications that use PM parts; •The fine points in designing for PM; •How metal powders are produced; •Designs for compacting tools; •How sintering develops functional properties; •Various secondary operations; •The Metal Powder Industries Federation material and test standards; •Metal injection molding; •And the latest high-tech PM technologies, including metal additive manufacturing (3D printing).
Attendees also receive hundreds of dollars in publications, including current MPIF standards.
