Hexagon Spotlights NCSIMUL Software at Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show
October 5, 2021
Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division will feature NCSIMUL, a high-performance G-code certification and optimization software, in the NCSIMUL | Hexagon Booth #2441 at the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS) 2021, October 4 – 7, 2021, at The International Center in Toronto, Ontario. The newest release of NCSIMUL is now available for turning, drilling, 3-to-5 axis milling, multi-tasking or more complex machining. The advanced machining certification software simulates, verifies, and optimizes CNC programs based on the characteristics of the designated CNC machine, which includes the exact digital twin for the machine, tools and materials. NCSIMUL is available as a standalone software and integrates easily with other software via robust CAD/CAM and tool database interfaces. CNC programmers working with 5-axis and other complex machines can see demonstrations of the software’s CNC collision detection and cutting tool optimization features at regular intervals during the trade show.
Featured in Hexagon’s Booth #2355, the TEMPO part loading system is Hexagon’s industrial automation technology for CMMs. The off-the-shelf automatic part loading system enables autonomous measurement free from interruption so manufacturers can maintain output even when CMM operators are unavailable. TEMPO requires minimal training with a short ramp up for users to quickly and effectively incorporate the system into their quality program. The system’s high-performance collaborative robot from Universal Robots is lightweight for relocation purposes and offers collision detection and customizable stopping times. TEMPO enhances CMM workflows by adding lights-out quality control to the busy manufacturing shop floor. TEMPO will be demonstrated at CMTS with the popular GLOBAL S coordinate measuring machine (CMM) which addresses the widest range of production measurement requirements including high throughput, precision, multi-purpose and shop-floor capabilities.
“CMTS visitors will get an upfront and personal look at Hexagon’s latest technology for lights-out quality control and high performance machining verification software,” states David Hill, commercial operations manager – Canada, Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division. “This has been an eventful year of continuous technology rollouts for Hexagon. Attendees will find a broad range of new products designed to enable continuous product and process improvements for smarter manufacturing. Our CMTS portfolio will certainly give users and managers pause to rethink and revive their approach to automation and enable them to make smarter use of data from design through production and metrology.”
