Star Cutter Company has acquired Tru Tech CNC grinding systems from Resonetics (Nashua, N.H.), assuming all design and manufacturing of the Tru Tech high precision CNC grinding machines currently performed at the Michigan facilities in Mt. Clemens and Lewiston. Additionally, Star Cutter secures the service, training, and spare parts support for Tru Techs’ vast installation base across North America and Europe.
The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) Technical Division Executive Committee, TDEC, announces a minor restructuring of AGMA technical committees to better serve the industry. The new structure will replace existing topic-specific committees with project-specific working groups that will be formed to develop the deliverable of each project.
Jergens announces Barry Schwartz will take on business development for the Canadian market to further support customers and channel partners throughout the country. Mr. Schwartz joined Jergens in June and brings with him 40 years of metalworking experience including consulting, sales and marketing management, and broad product line distribution. The appointment comes amidst the company’s strategic moves for further developing international business.
The Board of Directors has appointed Henrik Ager as the new President and CEO of Höganäs AB, starting October 2, 2023. Henrik Ager is currently CEO of Copperstone Resources AB.

The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) Board of Directors elected two new members to serve a three-year term, from 2023 to 2026. This vote occurred at the most recent board of directors meeting in Ann Arbor, Michigan in August.
The L.S. Starrett Company, a leading global manufacturer of precision measuring tools and gages, metrology systems, saw blades, power tool accessories and more, has recently appointed Mr. Seth Downing as its new Strategic Accounts Manager North America, Industrial Products.
