Emuge-Franken USA is teaming up with Okuma America Corporation to present and demonstrate Multitasking Machining Innovations for complex turbine components on June 13th, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Okuma America Corporation located at 11900 Westhall Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina. This complimentary Multitasking Event is designed for manufacturing engineers.
“As an Okuma partner and participant in its Partners in Technology program, we are excited to work together to demonstrate how manufacturers can revolutionize how they machine complex turbine components,” said Kent Hohensee, OEM Manager-U.S. and Canada, Emuge-Franken USA. “Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the latest machining processes and tools which can lead to substantial cost savings, reducing the need for multiple machines and setups.”
The event will feature live machining demonstrations on an Okuma MU-6300V Vertical Machining Center, enabling complex milling and turning solutions in one setup, and equipped with Emuge-Franken proprietary Pagode cutter technology for innovative fir tree slot milling on critical blade attachment points. Emuge skiving tools, offering the fastest way to precisely machine gears and splines, will also be demonstrated. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions with Okuma, Emuge-Franken, Open Mind Technologies (hyperMILL CAM software), Blaser Swisslube, Renishaw and Morris South.
A complimentary lunch will be served, and attendees will have a chance to win door prizes.
