For Gear Technology readers looking for gear manufacturing equipment such as gear cutting, forming, and finishing, as well as broaching, shaping, and slotting machines, you must first visit the Gear Generation sector in the North Building, Level 3.

Star Cutter Company has appointed Andrew Epstein as Vice President of Human Resources (HR). Epstein oversees all HR functions for the Star Cutter family of companies, guiding HR resources across global locations and analyzing HR strategies. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, he reports to the Chief Financial Officer, Becky Grech.

Star Cutter Company announced that Dean Stetson has been named the vice president of information technology. Stetson is charged with leading corporate IT for all of Star Cutter’s manufacturing facilities, as well as the Star SU’s sales and marketing offices across North America, Europe, Brazil, China, and India enabling the company’s vision to expand its global capabilities.

Star Cutter Company has acquired Tru Tech CNC grinding systems from Resonetics (Nashua, N.H.), assuming all design and manufacturing of the Tru Tech high precision CNC grinding machines currently performed at the Michigan facilities in Mt. Clemens and Lewiston. Additionally, Star Cutter secures the service, training, and spare parts support for Tru Techs’ vast installation base across North America and Europe.

As the exclusive North American representative of Louis Bélet SA (Switzerland) Swiss cutting tools in North America, Star SU will display its line of high-precision drills, end mills, thread, and gear-cutting tools including hobs and skiving tools in booth #3209 at the Motion + Power Technology Expo.  This includes solutions for micro-machining applications within the medical, automotive, aerospace, watchmaking, and general machining sectors.

Star SU, the marketing, sales and service affiliate of Star Cutter Company, has announced that it has become the exclusive representative of Louis Bélet SA (Switzerland) precision cutting tools in North America, further enhancing the strategic partnership between the companies originally established in early 2022. This relationship has proven to enable both companies to extend their product offering and bolster their capability into new applications.

Star SU, the marketing, sales, and service affiliate of Star Cutter Company, has announced the hiring of three new area sales managers (ASMs). Each ASM will be responsible for growing sales in his territory across multiple product lines, illustrating the company’s ability to better serve customers through its vertically-integrated structure.

Star Cutter Company has announced that it will be continuing its support of Alpena Community College’s manufacturing programs through increased monetary and equipment donations to the college. The donations will be supplied over a two-year period of time, helping to bring state-of-the art manufacturing equipment, such as grinding machines and optical comparators, to the center for hands-on training opportunities.
