The KISSsoft System Module is an intuitive, versatile, and adaptable tool for modeling and analyzing entire gear systems. It is an integral part and module of the KISSsoft software and accelerates sizing and optimization along the whole design process. Considering the needs of customers, KISSsoft's goal is to assist with the migration of the existing models to the System Module and for a smooth transition, it is highly recommended to start with the current release.
Effective July 1st, 2024, Dr. Ulrich Kissling, founder and Managing Director of KISSsoft AG steps down as Managing Director of KISSsoft AG as he partially transitions to retirement. Dr. Kissling will continue with KISSsoft AG focusing on representation for Gleason / KISSsoft AG on various technical committees and providing technical support to the Engineering and Sales teams.
In the development environment for SKRIPT, the option of setting breakpoints was created with KISSsoft Release 2024. If the progress of the script is interrupted, the values of the variables are displayed.
The new KISSsoft release 2024 is coming soon! This April will bring you the new system module KISSdesign, accelerating the calculation of complex drive trains and replacing the previous KISSsys software.
The KISSdesign system module is a powerful tool for transmission modeling and analysis. MSc. Eng. Aissa Benykhlef from KISSsoft AG will guide attendees through the essential tools and functionalities required for building comprehensive models, with a special emphasis on the Sketcher and its versatile applications in various kinematic models.
In KISSsoft's 2024 training schedule, you will find a great variety of training classes on selected KISSsoft modules and special topics including the latest software developments and trends in gear design, analysis, and manufacturing technology.
KISSsoft training courses cover various categories - basic, advanced, special - and take place either via Live Stream or at the KISSsoft AG premises in Switzerland. Based always on the current KISSsoft release, they give you the possibility to enhance and deepen your software knowledge and skills with regards to KISSsoft modules and functionalities.
KISSsoft supports the user with numerous calculations for different machine elements. The new KISSdesignmodule in KISSsoft supports the combination of these machine elements in building complex system transmissions containing any number of shafts, gears, and bearings.
In KISSsoft, 97 (yes, ninety-seven!) plastics are available for calculation of cylindrical and crossed axis helical gears. The materials range from unreinforced POMs and PAs to high performance reinforced and internally lubricated materials.
The loaded tooth contact analysis (LTCA) is crucial in understanding the deformation of gears and its impact on various factors such as noise generation, contact patterns, contact shocks, and torque variations. With the contact analysis feature in KISSsoft, users can calculate tooth contact under specific torque and speed levels, thereby assessing the performance of gears and gearboxes.
