Ceratizit Group’s board of directors announced the promotion of Troy Wilt from national sales manager to managing director of Ceratizit USA, Cutting Tools Division. “Since joining our team, Troy has played a pivotal role in Ceratizit’s continued growth in the U.S. market,” says Dan Cope, President of the Americas for Ceratizit. “His strategic vision and deep industry knowledge have been instrumental in fostering strong relationships with customers and peers which is the kind of leadership that will build on our current success.”
Ceratizit added to its OptiLine Series of solid-carbide end mills with the launch of a six-flute end mill. OptiLine end mills are versatile and optimized for various materials, machining strategies and part applications. The company designed and developed the new six-flute OptiLine end mill specifically for titanium and super alloys (ISO-S).
Ceratizit, Part of the Plansee Group, announced that Dan Cope has been promoted to President of the Americas for Ceratizit Group. He joined the company in 2019 as Executive Vice-President of Cutting Tools, Ceratizit USA. The promotion is a direct result of Cope’s successful sustainable growth plan implemented for the U.S. cutting tools division.
In a direct response to evolving technologies and customer needs, Ceratizit releases the semiannual UP2DATE catalog of product developments and enhancements. The fall 2023 edition features three new products designed to provide Ceratizit customers with robust performance as well as reliable, precise, and cost-effective tooling solutions. Included in the company’s latest UP2DATE are the new MaxiMill 273-08 face mill, the WPC – Change Drill and the HyPower Rough and HyPower Access 4.5° hydraulic chucks.
Key to its ongoing strategy to build and nurture strategic relationships with its customers and integrators, Ceratizit has named industry veteran Craig Engler to the new role of Global Key Account Manager as part of its five-year growth plan in the United States. Engler will be tasked with capitalizing on Ceratizit’s worldwide presence to streamline communication and fortify customer relationships to drive business growth.
Ceratizit welcomes Trent Larsen to its North Central U.S. team as a Technical Sales Engineer. He is based out of Wisconsin and brings 27 years of industry experience in machining and programming to the cutting tool company.
Ceratizit has announced that Daniel Campos has joined the company as a Texas-based Technical Sales Engineer, bringing deep knowledge of machining and manufacturing to Ceratizit customers. Campos’ career spans more than 22 years in the machining industry with experience in vertical, horizontal/live tooling turning, full milling, and 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining.
Ceratizit has announced that Brian Krebs has joined the company as a Technical Sales Engineer based in Houston focusing on special tooling concepts. Krebs brings a wealth of cutting tool technical expertise to his new role with 18 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. For the last 10 years, Krebs has specialized in cutting tool distribution and integration programs in and around the Houston area.
Ceratizit’s Executive Director of Technology and Solutions, Mark Blosser, has been selected to present at Siemens Realize LIVE U.S. conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, June 12–15, 2023. The conference is Siemens’ flagship event focusing on advances and best practices in digital transformation.
