This year’s Virginia Manufacturing Gala, hosted by the Virginia Manufacturers Association (VMA) at the prestigious Virginia Museum of History and Culture, served as a showcase for the best in Virginia’s manufacturing industry. At this prominent event, Sumitomo Drive Technologies stood out significantly, earning Bronze in the Virginia Manufacturing Cup and capturing 1st Place in the Industrial and Commercial Machinery category with our Paramax 9000 reducer.

Sumitomo Drive Technologies, a brand of Sumitomo Machinery Corporation of America, received the 2024 National Metalworking Reshoring Award. The award was given in recognition of Sumitomo Drive Technologies’ success in bringing manufacturing to the United States through foreign direct investment and to Mexico via nearshoring. The 2024 award was presented on Sept. 13, 2024, at IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show at McCormick Place in Chicago by Harry Moser, founder and president of the Reshoring Initiative.
