Weiler Abrasives, a leading provider of abrasives, power brushes, and maintenance products for surface conditioning, announced it will attend FABTECH 2023, Sept. 11–14 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Nidec Machine Tool America (NMTA), a division of Nidec Machine Tool Corporation of Japan, will exhibit the newly developed CF26A gear chamfering machine at the Motion + Power Expo, October 17–19, 2023. The machine is capable of fully automatic full tooth-defined chamfering of gears up to 260mm in diameter. In addition, the companion ChamferX tools will be available for show attendees to review.
Manufacturers wishing to progress from manual metrology to using a CNC coordinate measuring machine (CMM) have a new option to consider—the new ALTO 6.5.5 from CMM manufacturer LK Metrology, Derby, UK. Appealing to the entry-point of the CMM market, the machine has guideways made from aluminium, lowering the capital cost compared with making those components from ceramic, as is the case with most LK CMMs. Several innovative design features have resulted in a surprisingly compact measuring machine, with the high accuracy and rapid throughput normally associated with more expensive systems.
Verisurf Software, Inc. announces a surface finish measurement probe and reporting solution for CNC CMMs equipped with Renishaw REVO SFP2 (Surface Finish Probe). The surface finish measurement feature is included in the soon-to-be-released Verisurf 2024. Using direct output from the Renishaw REVO SFP2 probe, Verisurf CMM programming can include defined surface finish/roughness evaluation from 6.3 μm to 0.05 μm (250 μin to 2 μin) Ra with results added to automated quality reporting.
Mitutoyo America Corporation, a leading manufacturer of precision metrology instruments and solutions, is proud to announce the release of the Mitutoyo LH600F/FG Linear High Measurement System. The LH600F is the latest model in the Mitutoyo Linear Height Gage line with several added features and benefits along with best-in-class accuracy using a high-accuracy scale unit and high-accuracy guiding mechanism manufactured in our own Japanese facilities.
VBN Components AB in Sweden manufactures extremely wear-resistant materials and is known for "the world's hardest steel," Vibenite 290, and "the world's first 3D-printed cemented carbide," Vibenite® 480. VBN's new heat treatment machine, a so-called URQ-HIP (Uniform Rapid Quenching-Hot Isostatic Pressing), was recently inaugurated at the company.
Manufacturing high-accuracy worm gears and screws alongside precision spur and helical gears has traditionally required the use of two quite different CNC grinding machines. Thanks to PTG Holroyd’s newly launched HG350-WG worm and gear grinding center, however, just one machine can now complete both tasks.
Machine Tool Builders Inc. has introduced a comprehensive new recontrol/retrofit package for larger-capacity profile grinding gear machines with outdated controls that add highly desirable performance at a fraction of the cost for new machinery.
GWJ Technology GmbH, a calculation specialist from Braunschweig, Germany, added new functions to the gear modules of its eAssistant web-based calculation software, which has been successful for more than 20 years.
Verisurf 2024 is the latest release of the popular measurement software for automated quality inspection, reporting, scanning, reverse engineering, tool building, and assembly guidance. The software is powerful, flexible, and easy to use for measurement applications across the manufacturing enterprise.
