This comprehensive four-day training course blends gear theory and practical experience. Participants will learn about the KISSsoft interface, cylindrical gear theory and strength calculation methods, using the shaft and bearing module, optimization of cylindrical gear macro and micro geometry, verification in Loaded-Tooth Contact Analysis (LTCA), and an introduction to the new system analysis tool, KISSdesign. This course includes a tour of the Gleason Works Rochester facility to experience practical examples on the shop floor.
The main objective of this introductory course is to provide the basic handling and understanding of the KISSsoft program and the user interface for different modules. Participants learn data inputs for tabs and settings and the calculation possibilities in order to operate and apply the software correctly and efficiently in the design process.
This training targets engineers who are newer users of the KISSsoft program or do not use it very often. Training groups are kept relatively small so that individual concerns may be fully addressed.
Gleason seminars and training courses inform about the latest trends in gear manufacturing technology. These training events have fixed dates and are conducted either at Gleason plants, offices or an independent site well-suited for training.
