alpha gear drives Inc. joined forces with U.S. Wittenstein Group and has relocated to a new 27,000- square-foot headquarters facility in Bartlett, IL.
According to alpha gears website, the new building is triple the size of its previous facility and houses alpha gear, Wittenstein manufacturing Corp. and Wittenstein aerospace and simulation Inc.
Tim Herbst, vice president and general manager, says, "This new facilities gives us room to consolidate the Chicago area facilities of alpha gear drives and Wittenstein manufacturing for more efficient communication and improved customer service. We have a new customer training facility, additional manufacturing space and expanded warehousing and shipping/receiving facilities. Well be adding technical, manufacturing and customer service personnel to better serve our growing customer base for gear drives and motion control systems. About 60% of the facility will be utilized initially, leaving plenty of room for expansion."
This move also provides space for a product showroom, a service department and for future product design and manufacturing. Plans to add more engineers, technical personnel and and administrative support are in the works.
Additionally, the Wittenstein aerospace office in Winter Park, FL, will be relocated to Bartlett.
