The Kapp KX300P occupies only 65 square feet of floor space and uses either dressable or non-dressable worm and form wheels.
Additional features include on-board inspection and integrated balancing. A vertically-oriented workpiece spindle allows for efficient integrtaion of automatic loading systems.
Kapp also plans to bring its integrated ring loader to IMTS. Features include the ability to reduce part-to-part exchange times over gantry or robot type automation systems. With an optional integrated ring load, the machine can achieve cycle-stop to cycle-start time of approximately four seconds, according to the company's press release.
Niles has added a ZE400S to their ZE gear profile center. The S Series features an additional 150 mm of stroke length and is desiged for finishing internal and external spur and helical gears using dressable or non-dressable form wheels. Other features include a common cast-iron machine base for all machine components, torque table and a common CNC dressing device with a high precision spindle for internal and external applications. The ZE series profile grinders range from 400 mm to 1,200 mm capacity.
