Seco Tools, LLC, the North American subsidiary of Sweden’s Seco Tools AB, recently announced organizational changes and employee promotions within its sales and marketing departments.
According to Rob Keenan, president of Seco Tools, LLC, the company implemented these organizational changes as part of an open and collaborative process.
“We worked as a team to share ideas and experiences that would put the best possible structure in place for continuing our aggressive market share growth plan and better serving our customers,” he said.
After 46 years of service, Lou Novacco, director of sales, will officially retire on July 1. Mike Parker has been named his successor and will be transitioning from his current role of director of engineering and marketing. Parker moves into his new position with more than 34 years of Seco experience. His expertise spans the areas of research and development, product management, production, marketing and engineering. He also has global company experience, having worked for Seco divisions in three countries.
Larry Lefkof has been promoted to the position of director of marketing, while continuing to serve as the Niagara Cutter national sales manager until a replacement for that role is found. Lefkof, also a long-time Seco employee, has experience spanning multiple disciplines within the company, including product management, production, sales management and marketing.
Dan Sikora, current director of operations and human resources for North America, will now take on global responsibilities as regional HR business partner for Seco Americas and South Africa. In addition, he will manage strategic initiatives for Seco North America, having a focus for 2015 on the next-generation Duratomic Technology launch, completing the integration of the Niagara Cutter brand into the Seco product family and expanding the company's custom tooling operations in Troy, Michigan.
“Seco offers a culture of advancement and gives top performers the opportunity to succeed, which is why we try to fill leadership positions with internal candidates,” said Keenan. “I am confident Mike, Larry and Dan will excel in their new roles. They have a proven performance record and offer unmatched industry knowledge and experience. Their innovative mindsets will further enhance the company’s strategic direction as well as allow us to continuously provide customers with the best possible cutting tool solutions.”
