Jergens announces that Matt Schron will add to his position as General Manager to now include Vice President. As an executive of the business—overseeing Workholding, Lifting and Specialty Fasteners divisions—Mr. Schron’s promotion allows for expedited execution of agreements and contracts that support the company’s key business initiatives.
“What’s the expression—working at the speed of business?”, said Matt. “We’re continuing to shorten the time needed for important business decisions in order to be even more responsive for our customers and suppliers”, Schron continued.
Matt has been the Jergens General Manager since early 2019, and before that was GM for Jergens Industrial Supply (JIS), sold to PT Solutions in August of this year. In his more than 20-year career at Jergens, Matt has worked in three of the four divisions, including numerous positions in marketing, product management and sales.
Of his goals and objectives, Mr. Schron had this to say, “Our focus is to continue to grow sales, not only in the US but also every other major market in the world. We are continuing our strategic acquisitions that center around our core business. At the same time, we are committed to invest in our engineering teams to support customer applications and new product development.”
Before joining Jergens, Mr. Schron attended Ohio University, graduating with a B.S in Marketing with Sales Certification. Continuing his education at Cleveland State University, he graduated with an MBA in 2007 before joining the company. Matt and his wife, Kelly, live in the Cleveland area with their three daughters.
