Continuing its tradition of strong family and deep community roots, West Ohio Tool is paying its success forward. For every new product sold, the company provides 10 meals to families who are struggling to put food on the table. Since the initiative began Sept. 1, the company has donated the equivalent of 950 meals to Feeding America, a national organization with local resources for Ohio families who live in Auglaize and Champaign counties as well as Logan County, which is home for the company.

The 27,000-square-foot state-of-the-art building combines engineering, production and applications support for the company’s recently launched SYNCREX Series of Swiss-style machine tools designed specifically for precision high production of small parts.
As of November 1, Jorgensen Conveyor and Filtration Solutions has entered into a partnership with Will-Fill, a manufacturer of fully automatic coolant monitoring and managing systems. Virgo Communications & Exhibitions Drives AGMA Media in India

The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) is partnering with Virgo Communications & Exhibitions to publish Gear Technology India, the Indian branch of the Gear Technology magazine.
For the 2014 Orion launch, NASA introduced the Launch Abort System (LAS). This large manifold housing made from 6AL-4V titanium is designed to rapidly propel astronauts away from the main rocket in case of a catastrophic explosion or any other unexpected event. Once fired, the LAS will accelerate the astronauts away from the main rocket at forces up to 10 to 15 times normal gravity (“G’s”). This critical part of the safety system was once again vacuum heat treated by Solar Atmospheres of Western PA for their most recent launch.
With a definitive business plan in place for the future, Jorgensen Conveyor and Filtration Solutions has promoted Karl Kleppek to the position of company president and COO. Effective immediately, Kleppek, director of sales and marketing, takes over for former president Charles (Chuck) D’Amico. D’Amico maintains an active role in the company as CEO and chairman of the board and will focus on strategy development and direct customer relationships.
As of Dec. 1, U.S. Central Regional Sales Manager Nick Falgiatano will be the new marketing manager, Sales Area Americas, for Sandvik Coromant. In his new role, Falgiatano will be accountable for establishing and reaching the strategic objectives of Sales Area Americas.
