Peter Glaws is a senior scientist-materials (since 2014) at Timken Corp. He received his (BS) metallurgical engineering degree at Lafayette College in 1977. After four years (1977–1981) working in the steel industry, he returned to academia (1981–1985), moving on to Carnegie Mellon University, where (1981–1985) he received his PhD in materials engineering. After two years (1985–1987) as a doctoral fellow at the University of Newcastle, NSW Australia, Glaws joined Timken Corp. (1987), where he has held various senior technical positions, including his present senior scientist position.
