Gear Manufacturing, Inc. headquarters, Anaheim, CA. The Gear Consulting Group presents this three-day course to emphasize basic gear theory applications to different machining methods. The problems encountered with each gear manufacturing process are covered, focusing on inspection. Participants will learn to understand the results of inspection data for identifying and correcting problems. Some of the topics covered include basic gear theory, cutting speeds and feeds, cutter materials, cutter coatings, cutter sharpening, tool selection, standards and manufacturing methods.
