Gear Up! VDI/FZG Wants Your Abstracts for the International Conference on Gears 2025!
The 11th International VDI Conference on Gears 2025 will be held in Garching, Munich at the Gear Research Centre (FZG) of the Technical University of Munich from September 10th to 12th, 2025. Supported by national and international associations, the conference brings together over 500 leading experts from the international gear and transmission industry. Presenting a paper gives you the opportunity to take part in this leading international forum and to learn about the latest developments and research results in the powertrain industry and academia.
Discover innovative gear technology, network around the world and build partnerships!
Following the success of the past conference, the “International Conference on Gears” will surely again be a unique meeting point for propulsion system manufacturers and researchers of gear and transmission systems. It will therefore be an exceptional opportunity to present your new solutions, latest research results and technical ideas. You will find answers to questions such as “Where are the potentials for innovative tooth geometry and optimized modifications?”, “How can you increase the load carrying capacity?” or “What are the best techniques for condition monitoring and system diagnosis?”, and many more.
Submission of your abstract – topic areas
VDI/FZG would like to invite and encourage you to contribute an abstract and show improvements in the field of gears and transmissions, e.g., how gears can contribute to increasing energy efficiency, reducing resource consumption and how new technologies are incorporated in the powertrain.
Don´t miss out on being part of this unique meeting point for equipment manufacturers, experts and researchers of gear and transmission systems and present your new solutions, latest research results and technical ideas.
Hand in your abstract covering related topics such as:
- Design, simulation and analysis of gears and transmissions
- Industrial applications, e.g., transmissions for energy systems, for mobility systems, etc.
- Test methods and/or procedures for endurance, efficiency and noise behavior
- Materials, lubrication and tribology
- Manufacturing, e.g., productivity increase with new concepts for machine and manufacturing processes, reduction of machining and production time, balancing of productivity and flexibility
- Sustainable gears: Resource efficiency, power efficiency, circular economy
- Gear design and manufacturing in context of digitalization
- Potentials and challenges of high performance plastic gears
- Smart gears: Sensor integration, condition monitoring, application of AI
