Magnetic Gearing and Turbine Corp. Releases New Injection Molded Plastic Gears

Magnetic Gearing & Turbine Corporation of Australia annonced the release of a new generation injection moulded magnetic gear. According to the company’s press release,the gears have no mechanical connection and run in a frictionless environment. Energy savings of up to 22% have been realised in solar water pumps tested in Australia and South Africa. As the gears use the replulsive forces of magnets to transmit power, a certain amount of misalignment will not effect operation. No heat is generated in transfering power from the driver to the driven, which means they run at ambiant temprature all day.
