Mattingly Hired as Tool Service Manager at Star SU

Rick Mattingly has joined Star Star SU as manager of tool services. He held a similar position at Gleason Cutting Tools in Rockford, IL. Mattingly worked for ten years at Pfauter Maag Cutting Tools in a similar capacity before it was acquired by Gleason in 1997. According to the company’s press release, Mattingly has been involved in various aspects of manufacturing new gear tools and reconditioning used tools since joining Barber Colman in 1969. Mattingly will be based in the Star SU’s service center in Hoffman Estates, IL, and responsible for shop operations for resharpening hobs, shaping cutters and shaving tools.
