AGMA's current vice president, technical division is retiring at the end of 2006 and the association is currently accepting applications for his replacement.
The vice president, technical division is the senior technical employee of the association and reports to the president. He is responsible for management and operation of technical activities including those related to the development and maintenance of U.S. and international standards; development and operation of technical programs, conferences and seminars; relationships with outside vendors; operation of member committees necessary for technical programs and relationships with domestic and international members and prospects.
Suggested qualifications include an engineering degree with gear industry experience; experience with standards development process; a working knowledge of ANSI and ISO procedures; proven ability to manage others; effective member relations and strong writing skills.
