Gleason Celebrates 140-Year Anniversary

The Gleason Works will celebrates 140 years on July 15, 2005. James Gleason, chairman of the board, is hosting a special dedication ceremony. The Gleason Works was founded by William Gleason in 1865 to manufacture a general line of metalworking tools and machines with an emphasis on engine lathes and planners. Today, the company manufactures and sells a complete line of machines and tooling for the producton of bevel and cylindrical gears.
